EDIT: How do I get rid of the weird blurry stuff on the picture, most noticeable on the red portions? What the heck is it anyways?! I've never had a problem with my images like this before ;-;...
It's been a while since I've done any Sonic-style art.
It's a really quick little thing, where I drew the picture right in front of the computer in maybe 5-6 minutes, then colored it in around 10. LOL I'm such a Photostudio noob, I only really used the darken tool to shade because I haven't figured out how to use the Paintbrush tool without killing the black lines... gah, behold my lazy bum green background. I'm trying not to get too digital-art crazy before I learn more about how to color traditionally, though.
Anyways, was looking for a new design for her OC Jake, and I was hit with this idea. It's a gift for Nikki more than anything, even though it was a category for one of her contests. I just wanted to draw her character LOL.
Now it's time for August 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it! Fave Fave Fave! My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy!
Here's the Menu per Category :
Digital Paintings & Drawings | Mixed Media | PhotoManipulations | 3-Dimensional | Vector & Vexels | Photography | Traditional Paintings & Drawings | Artisan Crafts
