INFO:
Here's my first entry for the Monty Oum Rikku Dressphere Design Contest! Please enjoy.
This is a kind of lolita-style dressphere, with lethal cutting wire as the weapon. I made it so that the cutting wire was part of a yo-yo type weapon. It seemed to match the childlike style of both Rikku and dress. Of course, the weapon could be just the wire dispensed from a spool-like apparatus.
The gloves have thin metal on the palms and fingers for protection, because who likes losing a finger to their own weapon? An don't worry, Rikku's's wearing super short white spandex under the skirt to prevent excessive, ah, exposure. The skirt istelf has multiple layers; the pink one, one edged with the lace, and then a few more layers of white fabric.
I tried to utilize the only two decent textures I could find for Photostudio 5.5, for the cloth and boots. They're only really visible in fullview, though, hehe. The white fabrics are more like linen, with the colored cloth thick but not too textured. The gloves, boots, and belt are leather-like, with the gloves' leather being very fine and soft (like a golf glove, so comfy <3!).

Hehe, also, this is my first time using a computer program to color a piece. I found the program and realized that it works quite well for coloring. I just had to figure out the little tricks and doohickeys XD.

Oooh, and thank you, Dang, for your assistance and suggestions.
You're welcome ^^. I think it would be cool if you got picked because the light-hearted theme would be a nice change from the other more serious dresspheres.
Now it's time for August 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it! Fave Fave Fave! My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy!
Here's the Menu per Category :

Many of life's failures are those who didn't realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
